Monday Aug. 27th is the first day of school for me! In celebration of this event, I will be having a SALE for one day only!!! In my Teacher's Notebook shop everything is 25% OFF and my TPT store will be 20% OFF (that's the biggest sale the site allows).
This afternoon my school had the annual Back To School Picnic and it was a huge success for my class! I got to chat with the parents a bunch and I discovered I'm working with some AMAZING families this year!! Four out of my five new students came to the picnic with their parents and siblings. My kids are soooo adorable! While I'm not thrilled to spend 6 days in a row at school the first week, it is wonderful to ease into the first day of school with such a relaxing afternoon of fun and socializing. It really helps take the stress and anxiety level down for my little guys who get nervous about social situations. Two of my boys from summer school came running up to me and gave me a big hug today. This is so much better than having a terrified kid on the first day of school who tries to run away (it's happened in years past). I'm taking today as a good omen for all the great things to come this year!!!!
